We get so caught up in repetitive, busy routines that we miss out on actually "living."Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15165210377903518274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478317097848112987.post-85654978742923719982016-02-18T16:30:16.112-06:002016-02-18T16:30:16.112-06:00These were really excellent questions and they do ...These were really excellent questions and they do make you think about a lot of things. Sometimes we are so mundane in our daily lives we don't "see" what we are doing to ourselves. I'm sure if I had two kids that young, I would not be as excited about being home; they are cute at that age but also very demanding of your constant full attention. But for now, home is peaceful for me and my cats :) And I work in a pharmacy with demanding patients who sometimes act like toddlers, lol.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15165210377903518274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478317097848112987.post-91368966125274627792016-02-18T12:53:24.357-06:002016-02-18T12:53:24.357-06:00Mary, it is hard to find balance and also hard to ...Mary, it is hard to find balance and also hard to find a decent exercise partner. That's part of the reason I haven't been running very much.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15165210377903518274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478317097848112987.post-46199367422735448342016-02-18T12:51:22.636-06:002016-02-18T12:51:22.636-06:00Betty, when I was a kid, my family had a really ni...Betty, when I was a kid, my family had a really nice pool and swimming was one of my favorite things to do. The last few years I have not been able to swim very often because there are not many pools, just the lake, which I find a bit gross to swim in.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15165210377903518274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478317097848112987.post-4590265266853546852016-02-17T12:11:27.276-06:002016-02-17T12:11:27.276-06:00It'd seem we are on opposite ends of the spect...It'd seem we are on opposite ends of the spectrum. After a 3 day weekend, I was ready to return to work. Then again, I spent the weekend at home, potty-training my son. My daughter constantly asked if we could go here or go there, and I told her I wasn't going anywhere. With the combined energy of a 2yo and 5yo bombarding me non-stop for three days straight throughout all hours of the day, I had to escape.

I'm not cut out to be a stay-at-home parent, so work is great for me. Screen time is near non-existent when I'm at home, because my kids require too much attention that I don't even attempt to divide my focus anymore. I have to get up before anyone is awake if I want to use my computer. Exercise is good. My husband watches the kids while I run with my sis-in-law three times a week, and my daughter participates when I do my 5-minute Sworkit.

Focus at work? Well... I am commenting on a blog right now.
<_<
>_>

But I do limit my blogging/visiting to just Wednesday. ^_^

It was great getting to know more about you. Swimming is a great form of exercise, provided one has the spot to be able to do it :) Currently I'm still okay working 40 hours a week; I would imagine perhaps in a few years I might want to consider part time. I'm terrible about the hours of day I put in front of a computer screen :)

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.com
