The Listing Hop: List of Lists

Today I am participating in The Listing Hop, which is hosted by Bish Denham and Alex J Cavanaugh. All we have to do is make a list and they suggested keeping it between 5 and 25 items, and I am a big fan of lists, so I could not resist signing up! You can find a list of participants by clicking above. Since I use lists so regularly, I thought I would share my list of lists :)

These are 15 of the lists I currently have on an ongoing basis:

1. Shopping list

2. To Do list (this is especially never-ending)

3. Long-term goals

4. Hobbies to pursue (translation: A LOT of unfinished sewing and weaving projects, language courses, and scrapbooks)

5. Wish list

6. Blog topic ideas

7. Book writing ideas

8. April's A to Z blog challenge theme ideas and some of the potential letter topics

9. Must-see movies

10. Books to read

11. Netflix shows to watch (Netflix conveniently handles this list for me)

12. Gift ideas (this one is shorter than I would like it to be with Christmas already quickly approaching)

13. List of daily blessings (my attempt at being more optimistic)

14. Prayer requests

15. Bucket list

  1. Thanks for listing with me, Elizabeth! Your list of lists looks vaguely familiar. :) Numbers 13 and 14 are probably the most important!

    1. Bish, you're right, those should be my highest priority lists.

  2. I like number thirteen! Some of those lists are never-ending, aren't they?
Thanks for participating in the blog hop.

  3. I like the lists you keep :) I keep a shopping list and an A/Z list when it gets closer; sometimes have done a prayer request list; need to get back to that one :)

    1. Betty, I need to focus more on my list of prayer requests, I look at it the least, when I should be focusing on prayer more than everything else.

  7. Oh, I recognize some of those lists. I need to start the Christmas one. The older the family gets the more difficult it is.

    1. Susan, that is so true, the last few years I gave up on certain family members and just gave them gift cards.

  8. I try to think about A to Z ideas too. And yes, Christmas!

    1. Yvonne, my problem now with A to Z is deciding which theme to go with in 2016 :)

  9. So many things to plan, and lists are the way they get accomplished. Well done!

  10. It is always a good idea to have lists. I make them and lose them all the time. Luckily, my Christmas list is easy: money to all the grandchildren, movies for my husband. That's it.

    1. Belle, wow, I wish my Christmas list was that easy, my family and friends are so complicated to shop for!

  11. A list of lists! Now that is classic. I also have a bunch of lists going on at any one time. So nice for keeping the world organized, even if it doesn't always help as much as I want it to.

    1. Shannon, sadly, this is not the first time I have made a list of lists, lol. Making lists does not always equal getting things accomplished, but it does feel great when you can check things off :)

  12. I've been meaning to do a list like this and this blog event has inspired me to do a List of Lists. This morning one of the first things I did was start mine. So far I have 7 lists listed, but looking at yours I realize I have others that are in places like my Netflix queue for example and my blog composition line up.

You've given me some more ideas with your list. Good job.

  13. Well, I have lists, little scraps of paper all over the place of things to remember to do, places to go, to buy, whatever. I keep a list in my purse of books to find at the thrift stores and used book stores, and clothing I need at the thrift store---may not be there this time, but will be eventually, and kitchen items too. And it is really great to toss a list after it is completed, or cross something off. As for the Bible reading a prayer, that is status quo, I have a photo album full of missionary cards of folks to pray for in Alphabetical order, and in the album are lists of family, friends, preachers, special needs to also pray for. I go through the album at least once a week sometimes more often. A list of books to look for on Amazon or Ebay, and sometimes I make a list of what I need to accomplish on a given day. Thanks for this reminded, I like reading your blog, thank you for taking the time for it and posting it on FB.

    1. Thank you for stopping by from FB, Gammy :) I could probably make another long list of places I find all my lists. Ripping up or marking off a list when it is done is so satisfying! I like your photo album idea for missionary cards, I was thinking about putting a prayer board on my wall, but I have quite a few, so an album may work better :)

  14. A list of lists... Yep, that'd be me, too :) One of my favorites is my list for possible Battle of the Bands match-ups... I keep it on my phone, and I'm constantly adding new songs / covers to it, haha.

    1. Guilie, I do keep some lists on my phone. I like those apps, like Evernote or One Note, that let you keep the same lists or notes on multiple devices :)

  15. I have many of the same lists. I don't know how some people get by without at least 3 lists at a time. Thanks for sharing.
